Our friends from Rancho Santa Fe were searching for Memory Care for their Mom. Summerfield of Encinitas turned out to be the perfect spot. The staff are highly competent, warm and caring. The care provided is exceptional. The staff knows how to make residents with dementia feel special, safe, happy and cared for. There are a wide range of activities provided daily. The food is great and the building itself is immaculate, bright, light and lots of sunshine comes in. There is a wonderful feel to this place. Our friends Mom especially loves the secure outdoor walking trails, courtyards, indoor walking areas and the lovely gardens. Summerfield of Encinitas is a gem!

THE BEST assisted living facility in north county. My father lived out his last year at Summerfield of Encinitas and the care he received as he was struggling with ALZ and FTD was a gift to our entire family. The staff was friendly, professional and incredibly compassionate at every turn. I’m so grateful my father and my family were able to find Summerfield of Encinitas after having challenges at prior facilities. The facility was always clean and well kept and the nursing & medical staff were best in class.

Summerfield of Encinitas is by far the best Assisted Living place in North County San Diego. I have had experience with at least 3 residents in this Facility and visit another on a weekly basis. The first time I visited this Facility I was immediately impressed with the calm, friendly, and joyful demeanor of staff and residents…… the tell tale sign of a quality living environment. Management and staff work closely with each resident and family in a team environment. No matter what the issue, it is resolved quickly and efficiently. Staff and caregivers have a compassionate and caring attitude and really bond with each resident in a fun and loving way. Caregivers are assigned to one of 4 small communities with dedicated staff in each. This way the staff really get to know each residents needs and ensure maximum quality of life for each. The quality of care far surpasses most other facilities in that residents are checked every half hour and staff ensures that each resident stays involved in activities as desired. They make sure to get each resident up each day to give them a sense of purpose and sense of accomplishment. The grounds are perfect with many outside seating areas to enjoy the perfect weather in Encinitas why at the same time allowing residents the freedom to live and enjoy their lives independently. The caregiver to resident ratio is the lowest I’ve seen. The Summerfield of Encinitas lifestyle and quality of care truly stands out in North County and is top on my list of recommendations to family and friends. I recently went to Summerfield of Encinitas with a friend of mine to see her grandmother. I was so impressed with what I saw from the staff. Her grandma was in an exercise class with other residents and they were having so much fun. It takes special people to come to work everyday and take care of someone who has Alzheimer’s. These are very special employees. I know now why her grandma is there.
